Sharp Writ Book Awards

Submit your book for the awards:

On behalf of the Smart Book Lovers, I wanted to let you know that submissions are now being accepted for the 2012 Sharp Writ Book Awards. Organized by the Smart Book Lovers, the Sharp Writ Book Awards are presented annually to recognize excellence in writing. Smart Book Lovers is a non-profit organization for people with high intellect and a passion for books. We originally started as the Book Lovers SIG of American Mensa. We became an independent organization in July 2010 to better serve our ever growing global membership (currently at 1200). Although no longer formally affiliated with Mensa, many of the members are current or former members of Mensa and other high IQ societies.

Printed and eBooks are eligible, and must be in English, published in 2009 or later, and have a valid ISBN (not required for digital books published on Kindle). The author need not be a member of a high IQ society.

We are accepting nominations in the following categories:

GENERAL FICTION: Action & Adventure, Graphical Novel, Family, Saga, Historical, Humor, Inspirational, Metaphysicial, Political, Western, and Romance. Other genres may be considered – contact for approval.

MYSTERY: Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, Sleuths and Crime. Other genres may be considered – contact for approval.

The winners will be announced in mid-January via an innovative video award ceremony. The 2010 and 2011 videos can be viewed at the Sharp Writ Book Awards website – www.book-awards.org

In addition to the prestige which comes with recognition by book lovers with sharp intellect, this is an excellent marketing opportunity as well since our members are avid readers. The winning books are featured on our home page for three months for free. (The advertisement can continue beyond three months for a nominal fee).
